For the Love of Magnus – and Every Pup Who Deserves the Best

Why I Started Making Sweet Potato Dog Treats

Magnus changed everything for me.

He’s more than just a dog—he’s the heartbeat at my feet. So when I looked at the back of a store-bought treat bag and couldn’t pronounce half the ingredients, I knew I had to do better for him. That’s when I began making my own homemade dog treats .

And let me tell you—these sweet potato dog treats are now his favorite, and mine too, because I know every single ingredient is nourishing his body and soul.

Why Sweet Potatoes? A Superfood for Dogs

Sweet potatoes are rich in:

  • Vitamin A – for healthy skin and coat

  • Fiber – promotes good digestion

  • Potassium & Manganese – muscle and bone support

  • Antioxidants – support overall health

They’re a gentle, tummy-friendly ingredient—just like in our Oatmeal and Applesauce Dog Treats for Sensitive Tummies .

Final Thoughts from Magnus’s Human

These Homemade Sweet Potato Dog Treats aren’t just treats—they’re a love language. Every time Magnus wags his tail and gently takes a treat from my hand, I feel the bond deepen.

We all want our dogs to live long, happy lives. And sometimes, that starts with something as simple—and powerful—as what we put in their bowls.

Now it’s your turn. Try it. Bake it. Tag us. Your pup will thank you with tail wags and maybe even a nose boop.
