1 cup cooked sweet potato (mashed and cooled)
½ cup unsweetened applesauce
1½–2 cups oat flour (or whole wheat flour)
1 egg
1 tablespoon coconut oil (optional, for added richness)
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, mix the mashed sweet potato, applesauce, egg, and coconut oil until smooth.
Gradually add the flour, stirring until a soft, workable dough forms.
Roll the dough out on a lightly floured surface to about ¼-inch thickness.
Cut into bone shapes (or any shape you like) using a cookie cutter.
Place treats on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 30–35 minutes, until firm and lightly golden.
Let cool completely before serving to your dog.
Store the cooled treats in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
For longer storage, keep them in the refrigerator for up to 1 week, or freeze for up to 3 months. Thaw before serving.
