18 Dog Treats
1 cup unsweetened applesauce
1 cup finely grated carrots
2½ cups oat flour (or whole wheat flour)
1 large egg
1 tablespoon coconut oil (melted)
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, mix the applesauce, grated carrots, egg, and melted coconut oil until well combined.
Gradually add the flour, stirring until a soft, rollable dough forms.
Roll the dough out on a lightly floured surface to about ¼-inch thickness.
Cut into bone shapes (or any shape you like) using a cookie cutter.
Place treats on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 25 minutes, or until firm and lightly golden.
Let the treats cool completely before serving to your dog.
Store the treats in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days. For longer storage, keep them in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks or freeze for up to 3 months. Always thaw frozen treats fully before giving them to your dog.
Small dogs: 1 treat per day
Medium dogs: 1–2 treats per day
Large dogs: Up to 3 treats per day
