18 Dog Treats
1 cup rolled oats (old-fashioned oats work best)
½ cup unsweetened applesauce (no sugar or xylitol)
1 egg
1 tablespoon coconut oil (melted)
1 tablespoon water (only if needed for dough consistency)
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Add rolled oats to a blender or food processor and pulse until they form a coarse flour.
Transfer oat flour to a bowl and mix in applesauce, egg, and melted coconut oil.
Stir until a dough forms. If the dough feels dry, add water one tablespoon at a time.
Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface to about ¼-inch thickness.
Use a bone-shaped cookie cutter (or any shape you like) to cut out treats.
Place treats on the baking sheet and bake for 18–20 minutes, or until lightly golden.
Let treats cool completely before serving to your dog.
Store the treats in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
For longer storage, keep them in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks or freeze for up to 3 months.
Small dogs: 1 treat per day
Medium dogs: 1–2 treats per day
Large dogs: Up to 3 treats per day
Always monitor your dog when introducing new treats and adjust portions as needed.
