2 ½ cups whole wheat flour
1 cup pumpkin purée (unsweetened)
2 large eggs
½ cup natural peanut butter (xylitol-free)
1 teaspoon turmeric powder
1 teaspoon cinnamon
½ cup grated carrot
¼ cup chopped fresh parsley
½ cup water (as needed)
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, mix pumpkin purée, peanut butter, and eggs until smooth.
Stir in turmeric, cinnamon, carrot, and parsley.
Gradually add flour, mixing until a firm dough forms. Add water a little at a time if dough is dry.
Roll dough out on a lightly floured surface to about ¼-inch thickness.
Cut into bone or spring-themed shapes.
Place treats on baking sheet and bake for 25 minutes, or until firm.
Let cool completely before serving.
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
Refrigerate for up to 2 weeks.
Freeze for up to 3 months for longer storage.
