It was a lazy Saturday morning when Aurora, my curious golden retriever, pawed at my grocery bag and unearthed a carton of quail eggs. I’d picked them up on a whim, thinking they’d be a fun new ingredient for the weekend. She sniffed them like they were treasure—and in that moment, inspiration struck. I had already been trying to make healthier, more nutrient-rich treats at home instead of buying store-bought ones full of preservatives. Aurora has a sensitive stomach, so natural ingredients are a must for us. I decided to whip up a batch of soft, gentle Quail Egg Dog Treats —and let me tell you, she was hooked from the very first sniff. Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).
Mash the banana in a mixing bowl.
Add quail eggs, pumpkin puree, and optional peanut butter.
Mix in oat flour slowly to form a soft dough.
