Ingredients

  • 1 cup pumpkin purée (plain, unsweetened)

  • 2½ cups whole wheat flour (or oat flour for a gentler option)

  • 1 large egg

  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil (melted)

  • ½ teaspoon ground ginger

  • ¼ teaspoon cinnamon (optional, dog-safe amount)

  • 2–4 tablespoons water (as needed)

How To Make

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. In a large bowl, mix the pumpkin purée, egg, and melted coconut oil until smooth.

  3. Add the ginger, cinnamon, and flour gradually, mixing until a stiff dough forms.

  4. If the dough is too dry, add water one tablespoon at a time until workable.

  5. Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface to about ¼-inch thickness.

  6. Cut into bone shapes (or any fun shape you like).

  7. Place treats on the baking sheet and bake for 25 minutes, or until firm.

  8. Let cool completely before serving to your dog.

How To Store

Store the treats in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
For longer storage, keep them in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks or freeze for up to 3 months.

Serving Sizes

  • Small dogs: 1 small treat per day

  • Medium dogs: 1–2 treats per day

  • Large dogs: Up to 3 treats per day
