18 Dog Treats
1 cup pumpkin purée (plain, unsweetened)
1 cup finely grated carrot
2 ½ cups whole wheat flour (or oat flour for sensitive tummies)
1 egg
2 tablespoons peanut butter (xylitol-free)
1–3 tablespoons water (as needed)
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, mix pumpkin purée, grated carrot, egg, and peanut butter until well combined.
Gradually add the flour, stirring until a dough forms. Add water a little at a time if the dough feels too dry.
Roll the dough out on a lightly floured surface to about ¼-inch thickness.
Cut into bone shapes (or any fun shape you like) and place on the prepared baking sheet.
Bake for 25 minutes, or until treats are firm and lightly golden.
Let cool completely before serving—then watch the happy dance begin.
Store treats in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
Refrigerate for up to 2 weeks.
Freeze for up to 3 months for longer storage—just thaw before serving.
Small dogs: 1 treat per day
Medium dogs: 1–2 treats per day
Large dogs: 2–3 treats per day
(Treats should complement a balanced diet, not replace meals.)
