18 Dog Treats
1 cup pumpkin purée (plain, unsweetened)
½ cup natural peanut butter (xylitol-free)
1 cup finely grated carrot
2½ cups whole wheat flour (or oat flour for a gentler option)
1 egg
2–4 tablespoons water (as needed for dough consistency)
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, mix the pumpkin purée, peanut butter, egg, and grated carrot until well combined.
Gradually add the flour, mixing until a soft dough forms. Add water one tablespoon at a time if the dough feels too dry.
Roll the dough out on a lightly floured surface to about ¼-inch thickness.
Cut into bone shapes using a cookie cutter and place them on the prepared baking tray.
Bake for 25 minutes, or until the treats are firm and lightly golden.
Let the treats cool completely before serving to your dog.
Once fully cooled, store the treats in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days. For longer freshness, refrigerate them for up to 2 weeks or freeze for up to 3 months. Always thaw frozen treats before serving.
Small dogs: 1 treat per day
Medium dogs: 1–2 treats per day
Large dogs: 2–3 treats per day
Treats should always be given in moderation and as part of a balanced diet.
