Ingredients

  • 1 cup pumpkin purée (plain, unsweetened — not pumpkin pie filling)

  • 2 large eggs

  • 3 cups whole wheat flour (or oat flour for a gentler option)

  • 1 tablespoon peanut butter (xylitol-free)

  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon (optional, for flavor)

How To Make

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. In a large bowl, mix the pumpkin purée, eggs, and peanut butter until smooth.

  3. Gradually add the flour (and cinnamon if using), stirring until a firm dough forms.

  4. Lightly flour a clean surface and roll the dough to about ¼-inch thickness.

  5. Use a bone-shaped cookie cutter to cut out treats and place them on the baking sheet.

  6. Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the treats are firm and lightly golden.

  7. Let cool completely before serving to your pup.

How To Store

  • Store cooled treats in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.

  • For longer storage, refrigerate for up to 2 weeks.

  • You can also freeze them for up to 3 months—just thaw before serving.

Serving Sizes

  • Small dogs: 1 treat per day

  • Medium dogs: 1–2 treats per day

  • Large dogs: Up to 3 treats per day

Treats should always be given in moderation and as part of a balanced diet.
