18 Dog Treats
1 cup pure pumpkin purée (unsweetened, no spices)
2 cups oat flour (or finely ground oats)
1 egg
1 tablespoon natural peanut butter (xylitol-free)
Optional: 1–2 tablespoons water (only if dough is too dry)
In a mixing bowl, combine the pumpkin purée, egg, and peanut butter until smooth.
Gradually add the oat flour, stirring until a firm, non-sticky dough forms. Add a little water only if needed.
Roll the dough out to about ¼-inch thickness on a lightly floured surface.
Cut into bone shapes (or any fun cutter you like).
Arrange treats in a single layer on dehydrator trays, leaving space for airflow.
Dehydrate at 135°F / 57°C for 6–8 hours, flipping halfway, until completely dry and crunchy.
Let cool fully before serving.
Once cooled, store the treats in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 weeks.
For longer storage, refrigerate for up to 1 month or freeze for up to 3 months. Always discard if moisture or mold appears.
Small dogs: 1 small treat per day
Medium dogs: 1–2 treats per day
Large dogs: 2–3 treats per day
Treats should complement a balanced diet, not replace meals.
