18 Dog Treats
1 cup pure pumpkin purée (unsweetened, not pumpkin pie filling)
½ cup unsweetened applesauce
2½ cups whole wheat flour (or oat flour for a wheat-free option)
1 large egg
¼ teaspoon cinnamon (optional, dog-safe)
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, mix the pumpkin purée, applesauce, and egg until smooth.
Gradually add the flour (and cinnamon if using), stirring until a firm dough forms.
Roll the dough out on a lightly floured surface to about ¼-inch thickness.
Cut into bone shapes or your favorite cookie cutter designs.
Place treats on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 25–30 minutes, until firm and lightly golden.
Let the treats cool completely before serving to your dog.
Once fully cooled, store Pumpkin And Applesauce Dog Treats in an airtight container. They’ll keep at room temperature for up to 5 days, in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks, or in the freezer for up to 3 months for longer freshness.
