18 Dog Treats
1 cup rolled oats (old-fashioned oats)
½ cup natural peanut butter (xylitol-free)
½ cup unsweetened applesauce
1 egg
¼ teaspoon cinnamon (optional, dog-safe)
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Add the rolled oats to a blender or food processor and pulse until they resemble coarse flour.
In a mixing bowl, combine the oat flour, peanut butter, applesauce, egg, and cinnamon (if using).
Stir until a soft, slightly sticky dough forms.
Roll the dough out on a lightly floured surface to about ¼-inch thickness.
Use a bone-shaped cookie cutter (or any shape you like) to cut out treats.
Place treats on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 20–25 minutes, until lightly golden and firm.
Allow treats to cool completely before serving to your dog.
Store cooled treats in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
For longer storage, refrigerate for up to 2 weeks.
You can also freeze them for up to 3 months—just thaw before serving.
Small dogs: 1 small treat per day
Medium dogs: 1–2 treats per day
Large dogs: 2–3 treats per day
Always serve treats in moderation and alongside a balanced diet.
