18 Dog Treats
1 cup natural peanut butter (unsweetened, no xylitol)
½ cup unsweetened applesauce
2 cups whole wheat flour (or oat flour for a softer bite)
1 egg
1–2 tablespoons water (only if needed for dough consistency)
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, mix the peanut butter, applesauce, and egg until smooth.
Gradually add the flour, mixing until a soft dough forms. Add water if the dough feels too dry.
Roll the dough out on a lightly floured surface to about ¼-inch thickness.
Use a bone-shaped cookie cutter to cut out treats.
Place treats on the prepared baking tray and bake for 20–25 minutes, or until lightly golden.
Let treats cool completely before serving to your dog.
Once cooled, store the treats in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days. For longer freshness, refrigerate them for up to 2 weeks or freeze for up to 3 months. Always thaw frozen treats before serving.
Small dogs: 1 treat per day
Medium dogs: 1–2 treats per day
Large dogs: 2–3 treats per day
Treats should be given in moderation as part of a balanced diet.
