Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsweetened applesauce (no added sugar or xylitol)

  • 1 cup oat flour (or finely ground rolled oats)

  • 1 large egg

How To Make

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. In a medium bowl, mix the applesauce and egg until fully combined.

  3. Stir in the oat flour gradually until a soft, non-sticky dough forms.

  4. Roll the dough out on a lightly floured surface to about ¼-inch thickness.

  5. Cut into bone shapes (or any shape you like) using a cookie cutter.

  6. Place treats on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them slightly apart.

  7. Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until firm and lightly golden.

  8. Let treats cool completely before serving to your dog.

How To Store

Store cooled treats in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
For longer freshness, refrigerate for up to 2 weeks, or freeze for up to 3 months. Always thaw frozen treats before serving.

Comments

Made these and added and added oat flour and whole oats and still didn’t firm up. Had to spoon onto cookie sheets like regular cookies. Not done baking the first batch. We’ll see!
