18 Dog Treats
1 cup unsweetened applesauce
2 cups whole wheat flour (or oat flour for a gentler option)
1 egg
1 tablespoon coconut oil, melted
½ teaspoon cinnamon (optional, dog-safe in small amounts)
2–4 tablespoons water (as needed for dough consistency)
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a mixing bowl, combine the applesauce, egg, and melted coconut oil. Stir until smooth.
Add the flour and cinnamon. Mix until a dough forms. If the dough feels dry, add water one tablespoon at a time.
Roll the dough out on a lightly floured surface to about ¼-inch thickness.
Cut into bone shapes or small squares using a cookie cutter or knife.
Place treats on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 18–22 minutes, until lightly golden and firm.
Let cool completely before serving to your dog.
Store cooled treats in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
Refrigerate for up to 2 weeks for extended freshness.
Freeze for up to 3 months; thaw before serving.
