2 cups oat flour
1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
1/4 cup natural peanut butter (xylitol-free)
1 egg
2–3 tablespoons water (as needed for dough consistency)
Natural food coloring options:
Beet powder (pink)
Turmeric (yellow)
Spirulina powder (light green)
Blueberry powder (light purple)
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Mix the wet ingredients in a bowl: applesauce, peanut butter, and egg. Stir until smooth.
Add oat flour gradually and mix until a soft dough forms. Add water one tablespoon at a time if needed.
Divide the dough into 3–4 portions. Mix each portion with a pinch of natural coloring to create soft pastel shades.
Roll out each dough portion on a lightly floured surface to about 1/4 inch thickness.
Cut bone shapes using a cookie cutter and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
Bake for 18–20 minutes or until firm and lightly golden on the edges.
Cool completely before serving to your dog.
Store treats in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
For longer freshness, keep them in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
You can also freeze the treats for up to 3 months and thaw as needed.
