2 cups rolled oats
1 cup whole wheat flour
½ cup unsweetened applesauce
⅓ cup natural honey
1 large egg
2 tablespoons coconut oil, melted
½ teaspoon cinnamon
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, combine oats and whole wheat flour.
In another bowl, whisk together applesauce, honey, egg, melted coconut oil, and cinnamon.
Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms.
Roll dough out on a lightly floured surface to about ¼-inch thickness.
Cut into bone shapes or small squares.
Place treats on baking sheet and bake for 25 minutes, or until lightly golden.
Let cool completely before serving.
Store treats in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days. For longer storage, keep them in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks or freeze for up to 3 months.
