Ingredients

  • 1 cup oat flour (or finely ground rolled oats)

  • ½ cup fresh or frozen blueberries (no sugar added)

  • 1 egg

  • 2 tbsp unsweetened applesauce

  • 1 tbsp coconut oil, melted

  • 1–2 tbsp water (as needed for dough consistency)

How To Make

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. In a bowl, lightly mash the blueberries.

  3. Add the egg, applesauce, and melted coconut oil; mix well.

  4. Stir in the oat flour until a dough forms. Add water 1 tbsp at a time if the dough feels dry.

  5. Roll the dough to about ¼ inch thick on a lightly floured surface.

  6. Cut into bone shapes (or any fun shape!).

  7. Place treats on the baking sheet and bake for 18–22 minutes, until set and lightly golden on the edges.

  8. Cool completely before serving.

How To Store

  • Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.

  • Refrigerate for up to 10 days.

  • Freeze for up to 3 months; thaw as needed.

  • Small dogs: 1 treat per day

  • Medium dogs: 1–2 treats per day

  • Large dogs: 2–3 treats per day
