2–3 hours freezing time
Easy
18 Dog Treats
1 cup natural peanut butter (unsalted, no xylitol)
½ cup plain unsweetened yogurt
¼ cup natural strawberry or blueberry puree (no added sugar)
2 tablespoons water (optional, for easier mixing)
Silicone bone-shaped mold
Prepare the molds
Place a clean silicone bone-shaped mold on a flat tray so it’s easy to move to the freezer.
Mix the peanut butter base
In a bowl, stir together peanut butter and yogurt until smooth and creamy. If the mixture is too thick, add a small splash of water.
Fill the molds halfway
Spoon the peanut butter mixture into each mold, filling them about halfway.
Add the jelly layer
Place a small spoonful of fruit puree on top of each treat to create the “jelly” layer.
Swirl (optional)
Use a toothpick to gently swirl the puree with the peanut butter mixture for a marbled effect.
Freeze
Place the tray in the freezer for 2–3 hours or until the treats are fully solid.
Serve
Pop the frozen treats out of the molds and let your pup enjoy.
Store the frozen treats in an airtight freezer-safe container or freezer bag. They will stay fresh for up to 2 months when frozen. For best texture, keep them frozen and only remove the amount you plan to serve. Avoid leaving them at room temperature for long periods since they will soften quickly.
Small dogs: ½ treat
Medium dogs: 1 treat
Large dogs: 1–2 treats
Extra large dogs: up to 2 treats
Serve as an occasional snack, not as a full meal replacement.
