1 cup cooked beetroot, mashed
1 large egg
2 tablespoons unsweetened applesauce
1 cup oat flour
½ cup whole wheat flour
1 tablespoon olive oil
¼ teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a bowl, mix mashed beetroot, egg, applesauce, and olive oil until smooth.
Stir in oat flour, whole wheat flour, and cinnamon until a soft dough forms.
Roll dough on a floured surface to about ¼-inch thickness.
Cut into bone shapes or desired designs.
Place on baking sheet and bake for 25 minutes, or until firm.
Cool completely before serving.
Store treats in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
For longer storage, refrigerate for up to 2 weeks or freeze for up to 3 months.
