18 Dog Treats
1 cup canned pumpkin purée (100% pumpkin, no spices or sugar)
2½ cups whole wheat flour (or oat flour for a wheat-free option)
1 large egg
¼ cup natural peanut butter (xylitol-free)
1–2 tablespoons water (as needed)
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a mixing bowl, combine the pumpkin purée, egg, and peanut butter until smooth.
Gradually add the flour, mixing until a soft dough forms. Add water a little at a time if the dough feels dry.
Roll the dough out on a lightly floured surface to about ¼-inch thickness.
Cut into bone shapes (or any fun shape you like) and place on the prepared baking sheet.
Bake for 20–25 minutes, until the treats are firm and lightly golden.
Let cool completely before serving to your dog.
Store the treats in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
For longer storage, keep them in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks, or freeze for up to 3 months. Thaw at room temperature before serving.
Small dogs: 1 treat per day
Medium dogs: 1–2 treats per day
Large dogs: 2–3 treats per day
Treats should complement your dog’s regular diet, not replace meals.
