18 Dog Treats
1 cup pumpkin purée (100% pure pumpkin, not pumpkin pie filling)
½ cup natural peanut butter (xylitol-free)
½ cup unsweetened applesauce
2½ cups oat flour (or rolled oats blended into flour)
1 egg
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, mix the pumpkin purée, peanut butter, applesauce, and egg until smooth.
Gradually add the oat flour, mixing until a soft, workable dough forms.
Lightly flour a clean surface and roll the dough to about ¼-inch thickness.
Cut into bone shapes (or any fun shape you like) using a cookie cutter.
Place treats on the prepared baking sheet.
Bake for 22–25 minutes, or until the treats are firm and lightly golden.
Let cool completely before serving to your dog.
Store the treats in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
For longer storage, keep them in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks, or freeze for up to 3 months. Always thaw frozen treats before serving.
Small dogs: 1 treat per day
Medium dogs: 1–2 treats per day
Large dogs: Up to 3 treats per day
Treats should complement your dog’s regular diet, not replace meals.
