2 cups whole wheat flour
½ cup rolled oats
¼ cup chopped fresh mint leaves
¼ cup unsweetened applesauce
1 egg
¼ cup coconut oil, melted
½ cup water (as needed)
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, combine whole wheat flour and rolled oats.
Add chopped mint and mix well.
Stir in applesauce, egg, and melted coconut oil until combined.
Slowly add water until a firm dough forms.
Roll dough on a lightly floured surface to about ¼-inch thickness.
Cut into bone shapes or festive designs.
Place on baking sheet and bake for 18–22 minutes until golden and crisp.
Cool completely before serving.
Store treats in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 7 days.
For longer storage, refrigerate for up to 2 weeks or freeze for up to 3 months.
