Ingredients
1 cup whole wheat flour (or oat flour for sensitive stomachs)
1 tsp baking powder
¼ cup natural peanut butter (xylitol-free)
¼ cup unsweetened applesauce
1 egg
¼ cup grated carrots
¼ cup water (as needed)
Optional Frosting:
¼ cup plain Greek yogurt
1 tbsp peanut butter
How To Make
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a small 6-inch cake pan or line with parchment paper.
In a mixing bowl, combine flour and baking powder.
Add peanut butter, applesauce, egg, and carrots. Mix until well combined.
Gradually add water until the batter is smooth but thick.
Pour batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
Bake for 25–30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Allow cake to cool completely before frosting.
Mix Greek yogurt and peanut butter for frosting and spread evenly over the cooled cake.
How To Store
Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
For longer storage, slice and freeze for up to 2 months.
Thaw frozen slices in the refrigerator overnight before serving.

Medium dogs (20–50 lbs): 1 medium slice
Large dogs (50+ lbs): 1 generous slice
