1 cup natural peanut butter (xylitol-free)
1 cup pumpkin puree (plain, not pie filling)
2 cups whole wheat flour (or oat flour for sensitive stomachs)
1 egg
½ teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
2–3 tablespoons water (as needed for dough consistency)
Preheat your oven to 175°C / 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a mixing bowl, combine peanut butter, pumpkin puree, and egg until smooth.
Gradually mix in the flour and cinnamon until a thick dough forms.
Add a tablespoon of water at a time if the dough feels too dry.
Roll the dough out to about ½ cm thickness on a lightly floured surface.
Use bone-shaped cookie cutters to cut the treats.
Place treats on the baking sheet and bake for 18–20 minutes, until firm and lightly golden.
Allow them to cool completely before giving them to your puppy.
Room Temperature: Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
Refrigerator: Keeps fresh for 10–14 days.
Freezer: Freeze treats in a sealed bag for up to 3 months.
Let frozen treats thaw for a few minutes before serving.
Small puppies (under 10 lbs): ½–1 small treat per day
Medium dogs (10–40 lbs): 1–2 treats per day
Large dogs (40+ lbs): 2–3 treats per day
Treats should make up no more than 10% of your puppy’s daily calories.
