2 cups whole wheat flour
½ cup rolled oats
1 cup unsweetened pumpkin puree
1 egg
2 tablespoons natural peanut butter (xylitol-free)
2–3 tablespoons water (as needed)
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Mix the dry ingredients in a large bowl: whole wheat flour and rolled oats.
Add the wet ingredients — pumpkin puree, egg, and peanut butter. Mix until a dough forms.
Adjust the texture by adding water one tablespoon at a time if the dough feels too dry.
Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface to about ¼-inch thickness.
Cut out shapes using a bone-shaped cookie cutter or any fun shape you like.
Place the treats on the prepared baking sheet.
Bake for 25–30 minutes until golden and crisp.
Cool completely before giving them to your dog.
Store the treats in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week.
For longer freshness, keep them in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
You can also freeze the treats for up to 3 months and thaw them as needed.
Small dogs (under 20 lbs): 1 treat per day
Medium dogs (20–50 lbs): 1–2 treats per day
