Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef liver (fresh or thawed, trimmed)

  • 2 large eggs

  • 1 cup oat flour (or finely ground oats)

  • 1–2 tablespoons water (only if needed for blending)

How To Make

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. Cut the beef liver into chunks and place it in a blender or food processor.

  3. Add the eggs and blend until smooth.

  4. Gradually add the oat flour and blend again until a thick, pourable batter forms. Add a little water only if the mixture is too thick.

  5. Pour the batter onto the prepared baking sheet and spread evenly to about ¼-inch thickness.

  6. Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until firm and cooked through.

  7. Remove from the oven, let cool slightly, then cut into bone-shaped or bite-sized treats.

  8. For extra crunch, turn off the oven, return the treats inside, and let them dry for another 30–60 minutes with the door slightly open.

How To Store

  • Store treats in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.

  • For longer storage, freeze them for up to 3 months.

  • Always let treats cool completely before storing to prevent moisture buildup.

Serving Sizes

  • Small dogs: 1–2 small treats per day

  • Medium dogs: 2–3 treats per day

  • Large dogs: 3–4 treats per day

These are rich treats, so moderation is key—especially for dogs new to liver.
