18 Dog Treats
1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled
½ cup fresh blueberries
1½ cups oat flour (or blended rolled oats)
1 egg
2 tablespoons unsweetened applesauce
2 tablespoons water (as needed for dough consistency)
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a blender or food processor, puree the strawberries and blueberries until smooth.
In a mixing bowl, combine the fruit puree, egg, and applesauce. Stir until well mixed.
Gradually add the oat flour and mix until a soft, rollable dough forms. Add water a little at a time if needed.
Roll the dough out on a lightly floured surface to about ¼-inch thickness.
Use a bone-shaped cookie cutter to cut out treats and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
Bake for 20–25 minutes, until the treats are firm and lightly golden on the bottom.
Let cool completely before serving to your dog.
Store the treats in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 7 days. For longer storage, freeze them for up to 3 months and thaw as needed.
Small dogs: 1 treat per day
Medium dogs: 1–2 treats per day
Large dogs: Up to 3 treats per day
Treats should always be given in moderation alongside a balanced diet.
