18 Dog Treats
1 cup unsweetened applesauce (no sugar or xylitol)
1 fresh apple, finely grated (core and seeds removed)
2 cups whole wheat flour (or oat flour for sensitive stomachs)
1 egg
1 tablespoon coconut oil, melted
½ teaspoon cinnamon (optional, dog-safe)
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a mixing bowl, combine the applesauce, grated apple, egg, and melted coconut oil. Stir until smooth.
Gradually add the flour and cinnamon, mixing until a firm dough forms.
Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface to about ¼-inch thickness.
Cut into shapes (bone-shaped cutters work great).
Place treats on the baking sheet and bake for 25 minutes, or until lightly golden and firm.
Let cool completely before serving
