1 cup natural peanut butter (xylitol-free)
1 cup whole wheat flour (or oat flour for gluten-free option)
1 large egg
2–3 tablespoons unsweetened applesauce
1 tablespoon ground flaxseed (optional, for added fiber)
Mix the dough: In a large bowl, combine peanut butter, egg, and applesauce. Stir until smooth.
Add dry ingredients: Gradually mix in flour and flaxseed until a soft dough forms.
Roll & shape: Roll dough to about ¼-inch thickness and cut into bone shapes using a cookie cutter.
Preheat air fryer: Set to 350°F (175°C) for 3 minutes.
Cook: Place treats in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook for 12–15 minutes until golden brown and firm.
Cool completely: Let the chews cool fully — they will firm up as they cool.
