18 Dog Treats
1 cup low-sodium turkey broth
1 large egg
2 cups oat flour (or finely ground oats)
1 tablespoon natural peanut butter (xylitol-free)
1 tablespoon ground flaxseed (optional for extra nutrition)
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a mixing bowl, whisk together turkey broth, egg, and peanut butter until smooth.
Stir in oat flour and flaxseed. Mix until a soft dough forms.
Roll dough out on a lightly floured surface to about ¼-inch thickness.
Use bone-shaped or small cookie cutters to cut out treats.
Place treats on the prepared baking sheet.
Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until firm and lightly golden.
Let treats cool completely before serving.
Store treats in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days. For longer storage, refrigerate for up to 2 weeks or freeze for up to 3 months. Always thaw before serving.
Small dogs: 1–2 treats per day
Medium dogs: 2–3 treats per day
Large dogs: 3–4 treats per day
Treats should complement a balanced diet, not replace meals.
The first time these treats came out of the oven, a little nose appeared at the edge of the kitchen, twitching with curiosity. Gentle paws followed, then a hopeful sit, tail sweeping the floor like a soft broom. One bite was all it took. Crunch… pause… eyes widening. Then another bite, and another. Ever since, baking day has become a special ritual. The quiet patience while the oven hums, the joyful spins when the door opens, the careful carrying of a single treat to a favorite spot on the rug. These simple biscuits became more than snacks—they became moments. Little reminders that love doesn’t need to be fancy. Sometimes, it just smells like warm turkey broth and feels like home.
