1 ½ cups whole wheat flour
½ cup rolled oats
1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, finely chopped
1 cup unsweetened applesauce
1 egg
2 tablespoons coconut oil, melted
½ teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
Water as needed for dough consistency
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, combine flour, oats, rosemary, and cinnamon.
Stir in applesauce, egg, and melted coconut oil.
Gradually add small amounts of water until a firm dough forms.
Roll dough out on a lightly floured surface to about ¼-inch thickness.
Cut into bone shapes using a cookie cutter.
Place treats on prepared baking sheet.
Bake for 25 minutes or until golden and firm.
Allow to cool completely before serving.
Store treats in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 7 days. For longer freshness, refrigerate up to 3 weeks or freeze for up to 3 months.
