2 cups whole wheat flour
1 cup finely chopped hot dogs
1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
1 large egg
1/4 cup water (as needed)
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon baking powder
Optional Dog-Friendly Frosting:
1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
2 tablespoons peanut butter (xylitol-free)
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a bone-shaped pan or small cake pan.
In a large bowl, mix flour and baking powder.
Add egg, applesauce, Greek yogurt, olive oil, and chopped hot dogs. Stir until combined.
Add water gradually until a thick but pourable batter forms.
Pour batter into pan and smooth the top.
Bake for 25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Cool completely before frosting with optional yogurt-peanut butter mixture.
Store leftover treats in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. For longer storage, freeze individual slices for up to 2 months and thaw as needed.
