1 cup whole wheat flour
½ cup rolled oats
1 large egg
¼ cup natural peanut butter (xylitol-free)
3 tablespoons raw honey
2 tablespoons unsweetened applesauce
1–2 tablespoons water (as needed)
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a bowl, mix flour and oats.
In another bowl, whisk egg, peanut butter, honey, and applesauce until smooth.
Combine wet and dry ingredients. Add water slowly until dough forms.
Roll dough out to ¼-inch thickness and cut into bone shapes.
Place treats on baking sheet and bake for 18–20 minutes, or until golden.
Let cool completely before serving.
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days. For longer storage, refrigerate up to 2 weeks or freeze for up to 3 months.
