Ingredients

  • 1 cup oat flour

  • ½ cup unsweetened applesauce

  • ½ cup mashed banana

  • 1 egg

  • 2 tablespoons natural peanut butter (unsalted and xylitol-free)

  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil

  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon (optional)

How To Make

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.

  2. In a medium bowl, mix together the mashed banana, applesauce, egg, peanut butter, and coconut oil until smooth.

  3. Add the oat flour and cinnamon and stir until a soft dough forms.

  4. If the dough is sticky, sprinkle in a little more oat flour until it becomes easy to handle.

  5. Roll the dough to about ½ inch thickness on a lightly floured surface.

  6. Use a bone-shaped cookie cutter to cut out treats.

  7. Place treats on the prepared baking sheet.

  8. Bake for 18–20 minutes until lightly golden and set.

  9. Let the treats cool completely before serving to your dog.

How To Store

  • Room Temperature: Store in an airtight container for up to 2 days.

  • Refrigerator: Keep refrigerated in a sealed container for up to 7 days.

  • Freezer: Freeze in a freezer-safe bag for up to 3 months. Thaw a few treats at a time when needed.

Because these treats are soft and made with fresh ingredients, refrigeration helps keep them fresh longer.

Serving Sizes

  • Small dogs (under 10 kg): 1 small treat per day

  • Medium dogs (10–25 kg): 1–2 treats per day

  • Large dogs (25+ kg): 2–3 treats per day

Treats should complement your dog’s regular diet and not replace meals.
