18 Dog Treats
1 cup natural peanut butter (unsalted and xylitol-free)
1 cup pumpkin puree (unsweetened)
2 ½ cups whole wheat flour
1 egg
2–3 tablespoons water (as needed for dough consistency)
Preheat the oven to 175°C (350°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Mix the wet ingredients in a bowl: peanut butter, pumpkin puree, and egg until smooth.
Add flour gradually, mixing until a thick dough forms.
Add water if needed to help the dough come together without cracking.
Roll the dough on a lightly floured surface to about ½ cm (¼ inch) thick.
Cut into bone shapes using a cookie cutter.
Place on the baking sheet with a small space between treats.
Bake for 18–22 minutes until firm and lightly golden.
Cool completely before giving them to your dog.
Store cooled treats in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
Refrigerate them for up to 2 weeks for extended freshness.
For longer storage, place them in a sealed freezer bag and freeze for up to 3 months.
Always let frozen treats thaw before serving.
Small dogs: ½ treat to 1 treat per day
Medium dogs: 1–2 treats per day
Large dogs: 2–3 treats per day
Treats should complement a balanced diet and not replace regular meals.
