18 Dog Treats
1 cup whole wheat flour (or oat flour for sensitive stomachs)
½ cup rolled oats
⅓ cup coconut oil, melted
½ cup unsweetened applesauce
1 egg
1 tablespoon peanut butter (xylitol-free)
2–4 tablespoons water (as needed)
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, mix the flour and rolled oats.
In a separate bowl, whisk together melted coconut oil, applesauce, egg, and peanut butter.
Combine wet and dry ingredients, mixing until a dough forms. Add water gradually if the dough is too dry.
Roll the dough out on a lightly floured surface to about ¼-inch thickness.
Cut into bone shapes using a cookie cutter.
Place treats on the baking sheet and bake for 18–22 minutes, until lightly golden and firm.
Let cool completely before serving.
Store the treats in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days. For longer storage, refrigerate for up to 2 weeks or freeze for up to 3 months. Always ensure treats are fully cooled before storing.
Small dogs: 1 treat per day
Medium dogs: 1–2 treats per day
