1 cup whole wheat flour (or oat flour for sensitive stomachs)
½ cup rolled oats
¼ cup coconut oil (melted)
½ cup unsweetened applesauce
1 large egg
2–4 tablespoons water (as needed)
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, combine flour and rolled oats.
Add melted coconut oil, applesauce, and egg. Mix until a dough begins to form.
Gradually add water until the dough is firm but not sticky.
Roll the dough out on a lightly floured surface to about ¼-inch thickness.
Cut into bone shapes using a cookie cutter.
