1 cup whole wheat flour
½ cup rolled oats
½ cup unsweetened applesauce
1 egg
2 tablespoons natural peanut butter (xylitol-free)
1 tablespoon coconut oil (melted)
2–3 tablespoons water (as needed)
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Mix dry ingredients by combining whole wheat flour and rolled oats in a bowl.
Add wet ingredients including applesauce, egg, peanut butter, and melted coconut oil.
Combine everything until a dough forms. If the dough feels too dry, add water one tablespoon at a time.
Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface to about ¼ inch thickness.
Cut bunny shapes using a bunny cookie cutter.
Place on baking sheet leaving a little space between each treat.
Bake for 18–22 minutes until the treats are firm and lightly golden.
Cool completely before serving them to your dog.
Store treats in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
Refrigerate for up to 2 weeks to keep them fresher longer.
Freeze in a sealed bag for up to 3 months and thaw before serving.
