1 cup seedless watermelon, finely chopped or pureed
2 cups whole wheat flour (or oat flour for a gentler option)
1 large egg
2 tablespoons unsweetened applesauce
1 tablespoon coconut oil, melted
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a bowl, mash or puree the watermelon until mostly smooth.
Add the egg, applesauce, and melted coconut oil. Mix well.
Gradually stir in the flour until a soft, non-sticky dough forms.
Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface to about ¼-inch thickness.
Use a bone-shaped cookie cutter to cut out treats.
Place treats on the baking sheet and bake for 25–30 minutes, or until firm and lightly golden.
Let treats cool completely before serving.
