1 cup cooked chicken liver, finely chopped or pureed
1 cup oat flour (or finely ground oats)
1 egg
½ cup unsweetened applesauce
1 tablespoon olive oil
½ teaspoon baking powder
2–3 tablespoons water (if needed for consistency)
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a small cake pan or bone-shaped silicone mold.
In a bowl, mix the pureed chicken liver, egg, applesauce, and olive oil until smooth.
Add oat flour and baking powder, stirring until combined.
If batter feels too thick, add water one tablespoon at a time.
Pour batter into prepared pan or molds.
Bake for 22–25 minutes, or until firm and a toothpick comes out clean.
Allow to cool completely before serving.
Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
Freeze individual portions for up to 3 months.
Thaw in refrigerator before serving.
