Easy
18 Dog Treats
1 cup fresh blueberries (washed)
1 cup oat flour (or finely ground rolled oats)
1 large egg
1–2 tablespoons water (only if needed for dough consistency)
Prepare the blueberries: Lightly mash the blueberries with a fork until juicy but still textured.
Mix the dough: In a bowl, combine mashed blueberries, oat flour, and egg. Mix until a soft dough forms. Add water a little at a time if the dough feels dry.
Roll and cut: Roll the dough to about ¼-inch thickness on a lightly floured surface. Cut into bone-shaped treats using a cookie cutter.
Dehydrate: Place treats on dehydrator trays, leaving space between each. Dehydrate at 135°F (57°C) for 6–8 hours, flipping halfway, until fully dry and crisp.
Oven option: Bake at the lowest setting (around 170°F / 75°C) with the door slightly open for airflow, checking frequently.
Cool completely: Let treats cool before serving or storing—they’ll firm up even more as they cool.
Store fully cooled treats in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week. For longer storage, refrigerate for up to 3 weeks or freeze for up to 3 months.
Small dogs: 1 small treat per day
Medium dogs: 1–2 treats per day
Large dogs: Up to 3 treats per day
Always introduce new treats slowly and adjust based on your dog’s size and diet.
