1 cup whole wheat flour
½ cup rolled oats
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 egg
¼ cup unsweetened applesauce
2 tablespoons peanut butter (xylitol-free)
2–3 tablespoons water (as needed)
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, whisk together flour, oats, and cinnamon.
Add egg, applesauce, and peanut butter. Mix until combined.
Slowly add water until a firm dough forms.
Roll dough out on a lightly floured surface to about ¼-inch thickness.
Cut into bone-shaped treats using a cookie cutter.
Place treats on prepared baking sheet.
Bake for 18–22 minutes, or until golden and crisp.
Let cool completely before serving.
Store cooled treats in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 7 days. For longer storage, refrigerate for up to 3 weeks or freeze for up to 3 months. Always thaw before serving.
