25 minutes
1 cup fresh spinach (finely chopped)
1 small apple (grated, seeds removed)
1 medium carrot (grated)
1 ½ cups whole wheat flour (or oat flour for sensitive stomachs)
1 egg
2–4 tablespoons water (as needed)
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a mixing bowl, combine the chopped spinach, grated apple, and grated carrot.
Add the egg and mix until well combined.
Gradually stir in the flour until a dough forms. Add water one tablespoon at a time if the dough feels too dry.
Roll the dough out on a lightly floured surface to about ¼-inch thickness.
Cut into desired shapes using a cookie cutter.
Place treats on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 25 minutes, or until firm and lightly golden.
Let cool completely before serving to your dog.
Store the treats in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days. For longer freshness, keep them in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks, or freeze for up to 3 months. Always ensure treats are fully cooled before storing.
Small dogs: 1 treat per day
Medium dogs: 1–2 treats per day
Large dogs: 2–3 treats per day
