1 cup natural peanut butter (unsalted and xylitol-free)
1 ripe banana, mashed
1 cup rolled oats
½ cup oat flour (or blended oats)
¼ cup unsweetened applesauce
1 egg
1 tablespoon coconut oil
Optional: 1 tablespoon finely grated carrot for extra nutrition
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Mash the banana in a medium bowl until smooth.
Add peanut butter, egg, applesauce, and coconut oil, mixing until well combined.
Stir in oats and oat flour until a thick dough forms. If the dough is sticky, add a little more oat flour.
Roll the dough on a lightly floured surface to about ¼ inch thickness.
Cut out bone shapes using a cookie cutter and place them on the baking sheet.
Bake for 18–20 minutes until golden and firm.
Let cool completely before serving to your dog.
Store treats in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
For longer freshness, keep them in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
You can also freeze the baked treats for up to 3 months and thaw when needed.
