Cook time

8–10 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 cup whole wheat flour (or oat flour for a gentler option)

  • ½ cup natural peanut butter (xylitol-free)

  • ¼ cup unsweetened applesauce

  • 1 large egg

  • 1–2 tablespoons water (as needed)

How to Make

    • Mix the dough: In a bowl, combine flour, peanut butter, applesauce, and egg. Mix until a dough forms, adding water a tablespoon at a time if needed.

    • Roll & cut: Roll the dough on a lightly floured surface to about ¼-inch thickness. Cut into bone shapes or small squares.

    • Air fry: Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C). Arrange treats in a single layer. Cook for 8–10 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and firm.

    • Cool: Transfer to a rack and let cool completely to crisp up before serving.
