25 minutes
1 cup pure pumpkin purée (unsweetened, no additives)
½ cup finely grated apple (peeled, seeds removed)
1 large egg
2½ cups whole wheat flour (or oat flour for sensitive stomachs)
1 teaspoon cinnamon (optional, dog-safe amount)
2–4 tablespoons water (as needed for dough consistency)
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a mixing bowl, combine pumpkin purée, grated apple, and egg. Stir until smooth.
Gradually add flour (and cinnamon if using), mixing until a firm dough forms. Add water slowly if needed.
Roll the dough out on a lightly floured surface to about ¼-inch thickness.
Cut into desired shapes (bones, squares, or circles work well).
Place treats on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 25 minutes, until firm and lightly golden.
Let treats cool completely before serving.
Store cooled treats in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
For longer storage, keep them in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks or freeze for up to 3 months. Always thaw frozen treats fully before serving.
Small dogs: 1 treat per day
Medium dogs: 1–2 treats per day
Large dogs: up to 3 treats per day
Treats should complement your dog’s regular diet and be given in moderation.
