¼ cup unsweetened applesauce
¼ cup natural peanut butter (xylitol-free)
1 large egg
¼ cup water or unsalted bone broth
½ cup plain Greek yogurt (for frosting)
1–2 tablespoons peanut butter (for frosting)
Optional garnish: grated carrot or crushed dog treats
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a small cake pan or line with parchment paper.
In a bowl, whisk together flour and baking powder.
Add applesauce, peanut butter, egg, and water or broth. Stir until smooth.
Pour batter into prepared pan and smooth the top.
Bake for 22–25 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Allow cake to cool completely.
Mix Greek yogurt and peanut butter to create frosting.
