10 minutes
0 minutes (freezing only)
1 cup grated carrot
1 cup finely chopped apple (seeds and core removed)
½ cup plain, unsweetened yogurt (or coconut yogurt for dairy-free)
¼ cup water or unsalted bone broth
Add the grated carrot, chopped apple, yogurt, and water (or bone broth) to a blender or food processor.
Blend until mostly smooth, leaving a little texture if your dog enjoys a bit of crunch.
Pour the mixture into silicone molds (bone-shaped molds work great).
Place molds flat in the freezer and freeze for at least 4 hours or until fully solid.
Pop the treats out of the molds and they’re ready to serve!
Store the frozen treats in an airtight container or freezer-safe bag. Keep them in the freezer for up to 3 months to maintain freshness and flavor.
Small dogs: ½–1 treat
Medium dogs: 1–2 treats
Large dogs: 2–3 treats
Serve as an occasional snack or cooling treat, especially on warm days.
